About the Collection

At this year's Tsubamesanjo Meets Portland Japan Fair, I am delighted to present “Ocean Ritual”, a collection inspired by the sea's power to heal, restore, and transform.　

The series is deeply rooted in my connection to Isla Mujeres, a small island in Yucatan Mexico that I first visited in my twenties. Drawn back by an irresistible pull, I have returned many times over the years. The island's turquoise waters, rhythmic waves, and peaceful spirit have profoundly shaped both my life and my artistic journey.

Through Ocean Ritual, I invite viewers to immerse themselves in the calming energy of the ocean and to experience a sense of renewal, freedom, and quiet reflection.

I create abstract paintings using a combination of acrylics, pastels, and pen. Through luminous layers and a warm, expressive color palette, I seek to evoke a dreamlike atmosphere and a sense of nostalgic, otherworldly beauty. It is my sincere hope that my work offers viewers a moment of release—a quiet space to reconnect with themselves, find inner stillness, and experience mindfulness.
